WHY I TRAIN? | GEORGIE CAMPBELL

WHY DO YOU TRAIN?

I train because it makes me happy, it’s so good for my mental health - it leaves me feeling less stressed and it’s fun when you get to push heavy weights or do a really tough class! I love training with friends too. I also think it’s so rewarding when you set a goal and then train towards it.

WHAT FIRST BROUGHT YOU TO MANOR?

I was looking for a gym which had different types of training, especially boxing as not many gyms in London offer as much of a mix as Manor. I love the space too, it’s been so well designed and perfect for how I like to train as you have the option of open gym also.

WHAT ADVISE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO IS JUST STARTING THEIR JOURNEY?

Everyone starts somewhere! Make sure not to rush or compare yourself to anyone else - no one starts running by completing a marathon, just take your time and enjoy it for you.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE MANOR SESSION?

Boxing - I started boxing to learn a new skill and try a new type of workout, Manor’s sessions are my personal favourite.

WHAT'S YOUR PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT IN THE GYM SO FAR?

Running a half marathon - although this is out of the gym, my training at the gym strengthens me for this and has been a vital part of my training to get to a fitness level to achieve this!

AND LASTLY, WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU PLAYING IN THE GYM THIS WEEK?

Jorja smith / Damedame freedom
