Policy Guidelines
Leashing Requirements
- All dogs must be kept on a leash at all time while on gym premises. This includes all areas of the gym, such as the entrance, hallways, and office spaces.
- Dogs may stay with their owner on the gym floor secured with a leash in a safe area. Owners may be asked to take their dog off the gym floor if the space becomes busy.
- Dogs may also be kept in the designated back of house area or secured with a leash behind the desk
Duty of Care
- Dog owners are completely responsible for the welfare of their dog whilst in the gym, members of staff should not be asked to take responsibility of dogs.
- Owners must not leave the building while their dog remains on site, even if the dog is in a designated area.
Handling of Dog Accessories
- All dog accessories, including but not limited to leashes, bowls, collars, beds, and toys, must be removed from the gym area once the dog is no longer present.
- Accessories should not be stored behind desks or left in common areas.
Food & Water Storage and Hygiene
- Dog food must not be left out uncovered. bowls and containers should be stored in a sealed or enclosed contained to maintain hygiene and prevent pests.
- Any food-related items & water bowls must be removed and cleaned up immediately after the dog has finished.
OWNER RESPONSIBILITIES
- Dog owners are fully responsible for adhere to all rules outlined in this policy
- Owners are also responsible for ensuring that their dogs do not cause any damage to the gym property or inconvenience to other members
- Any costs associated with cleaning or repairing damage caused by the dog will be the sole responsibility of the dog owner. The gym reserves the right to charge these costs directly to the owner.
ENFORCEMENT
- This policy will be enforced by gym management, and any issues or concerns should be reported to the appropriate supervisor immediately.
- Failure to comply with this policy may resultt in the revocation of the privilege to bring dogs into the gym.
Manor reserves the right to refuse entry to any dog at its sole discretion, particularly in cases where the dog exhibits aggressive behaviour, causes repeated disruptions, poses a hygiene or safety concern, or if the presence of the dog is deemed unsuitable for the gym environment. This is to ensure the wellbeing, comfort, and safety of all members, staff, and animals on site.
