For Barry, training is about much more than physical strength. It represents the much needed balance to his busy lifestyle as an academic research. He started his journey 4 years ago - and he's flying with it now, achieving incredible feats in Strength. Check out the full interview and video below.

WHY DO YOU TRAIN?

I train because it provides a much-needed balance to my daily routine. Working out keeps me energised, healthy, and mentally sharp.

WHAT FIRST BROUGHT YOU TO MANOR?

I first came to Manor when I was transitioning from CrossFit, and my initial trial period really impressed me. The classes, the programming, and the coaching all exceeded my expectations and made it an easy choice.

WHAT ADVICE WOULD YOU GIVE TO SOMEONE WHO IS JUST STARTING THEIR JOURNEY?

Be patient and stay consistent.

WHAT'S YOUR FAVOURITE MANOR SESSION?

It's tough to choose just one favourite, but I really appreciate the balance of the 'Build,' 'Engine,' and 'Yardwork' sessions. They each offer something unique and keep the training fresh.

WHAT'S YOUR PROUDEST ACHIEVEMENT IN THE GYM SO FAR?

Taking part in YARDWARS!

AND LASTLY, WHAT MUSIC ARE YOU PLAYING IN THE GYM THIS WEEK?

My go to is old school Hip Hop or old school garage.
